On December 16, the Heydar Aliyev Center will host an evening in memory of Vagif Mustafazade, the legend of the world jazz, the founder of jazz-mugham, the greatest jazz pianist of the 20th century.

The concert will feature famous Azerbaijani performers - jazz-mugham stars.

Vagif Mustafazade's composition "Bayati Shiraz" in duet with People's Artist of Azerbaijan Alim Gasimov will be performed for the first time on the Azerbaijani stage in interpretation of world jazz star Shahin Novrasli. The concert will be continued by the best performers of Azerbaijan's jazz-mugham - Honoured Artist of Azerbaijan Emil Afrasiab (USA), Honoured Artist of Azerbaijan Isfar Sarabski, Etibar Asadli (France), Riad Mammadov (Moscow), Honoured Artist of Azerbaijan Iskandar Alaskarov, Honoured Artist of Azerbaijan Ruslan Huseynov, Elbey Mammadzade, Nijat Aslanov, Elvin Bashirov, pianist, laureate of international competitions Vurghun Vekilov and director of "Qaytağı" ensemble, People's Artist of Azerbaijan Anvar Sadigov.
