Abdulla Shaig’s fairy-tale performance “Tig-Tig Khanum” tells the amusing adventures of the beloved children’s character, Tig-Tig Khanum. For many years, the play was part of the Young Spectators’ Theatre repertoire and is now presented in a new, modern staging for children.

Tired of loneliness, Tig-Tig Khanum sets out to find a friend and meets many animals along the way. However, she does not like the character of any of them. Finally, a Mouse promises to be loyal, and she agrees to live with him.

One day, when the Mouse goes to the хан’s palace to bring food and is late returning, Tig-Tig Khanum goes after him and accidentally falls into a river. No matter how hard she tries, she cannot get out and nearly drowns. Hearing about this from riders on their way to a wedding, the Mouse rushes to save her. However, Tig-Tig Khanum becomes upset with him… What happens next?

The performance highlights friendship, kindness, honesty, and loyalty. After facing several challenges, Tig-Tig Khanum and the Mouse reconcile, and friendship triumphs.

The play is accompanied by cheerful songs and lively dances that will surely delight young audiences.
