“Манекен” is a story about loneliness, missed opportunities, and the irreversible events in life that can no longer be changed.
It tells the story of a woman suffering from profound loneliness. Finding herself in a psychiatric clinic, the heroine comes to a painful realization: the most important things in life are family and children — things she never had.
The production reveals the heroine’s inner struggle, her panic, confusion, and the terror of understanding that nothing can be fixed anymore.
The main character recalls her childhood, her mother, the man she loved, and her friend — telling all of this to a Манекен purchased on credit. The Манекен is a silent statue, yet it is the only one she can speak to freely, confessing the truth about herself and expressing her pain, bitterness, and resentment.
Her monologues are filled with anguish, longing, and despair. The pain suffocates her, and she dreams of turning into a mannequin herself — silent, incapable of feeling pain, and free from sorrow.
