Palata

About event

The play "Palata" based on the work of world-renowned writer Anton Pavlovich Chekhov's “Ward No. 6” (directed by: Bəhram Osmanov) will be performed.

This stage work, classified as a tragicomic thought piece, is directed by Ər-Toğrul, with Zaur Əliyev as the director, Vüsal Rəhim as the set designer, and Sevinc Məmmədova as the assistant director. The plastic choreography of the play is attributed to the theatre's principal ballet master, Honored Artist Emin Əliyev.
Although the events in this stage production, which reflect the social and philosophical problems of society, take place in a confined space, the psychological impact is boundless. In this play, where pantomime movements are utilized, the negative events of real life are highlighted with subtext, and as a result, it is metaphorically presented that sometimes intelligent and prudent individuals are not given their rightful place; instead, they are degraded and portrayed as madmen. The artistic director of the play is Honored Art Worker Əliqismət Lalayev. The characters are portrayed by Ər-Toğrul (Beggar), Zaur Əliyev (Yevgeni Xobotov), Nicat Əli (Patient), Türkel Tariqpeyma (Professor), Hüseyn Əlili (Andrey Yefimiç), Fərid Rzayev (Nikita), Cəbrayıl Cəbrayılov (Schizophrenic), and chorus artists Rəşad Rüstəmli, Orxan Mirzəyev, and ballet artist Hüseyn Heydərli.
