• As part of the Stanislavsky Electrotheatre's tour, Pushkin + “Eugene Onegin” directed by Elena Morozova will be shown for the first time in Baku.
In her one-woman show, actress Elena Morozova speaks and lives for all the characters of Pushkin’s “Eugene Onegin”. Changing manners and techniques with ease, she remains accurate in conveying the meaning of the “encyclopedia of Russian life”. High-society ladies, important generals, Tatiana in love and the hero himself appear as alive: Morozova, one of the best modern theatrical “readers”, treats the material famously, freely and with inspiration. The changeable nature of the poem by Pushkin, its easy and
at the same time serious manner of speaking with the imaginary reader thanks to the high technique and talent of the actress, is embodied in a theatrical plot full of discoveries. There is a feeling that we listen to Pushkin with “fresh ears”.
