On May 7, a memorial evening will be held to mark the 75th anniversary of Azerbaijani poet and Fuzuli-scholar, scientist "Ələmdar Mahir". Born in 1950 in Nardaran, a village near Baku, Mahir was deeply influenced by the area’s rich traditions of classical poetry and mugham music. These cultural elements played a significant role in shaping his life and literary work.
The event will feature performances by renowned mugham singers and poetry reciters, who will present a selection of poet’s ghazals.
