The grand opening of the summer concert season at the legendary Baku Philharmonic with the participation of the star of the world opera scene — Italian tenor Fabio Andreotti and the Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra named after G. Garayev with the premiere of the program ‘Amore e passione’!

For the first time this year, the summer stage will be luxuriantly decorated with fragrant blooming roses — the audience will be completely immersed in the atmosphere of romance, joy and, of course, art. The famous Azerbaijani wine brand Hillside will invite guests of the VIP terrace to celebrate summer with a touch of sophistication, offering to taste the best wines of the collection. Hillside is a premium line of wines from the largest and most famous Ganja Sharab winery. Hillside is distinguished by its bright aroma, exquisite taste and character. The grapes are harvested by hand when the berries reach optimal ripeness.

Arias from famous operas by Giacomo Puccini, Georges Bizet, Gioacchino Rossini, Jules Massenet and other great composers, as well as charming Neapolitan songs, will be performed from the stage surrounded by fragrant roses, accompanied by the Azerbaijani State Chamber Orchestra named after G. Garayev.

Italian tenor Fabio Andreotti was born in Rome and graduated from the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Rome La Sapienza. Only after that he began to study vocals in earnest with Italian masters Antonio Beyer and Gianni Raimondi. He made his professional stage debut in 2006, performing 'Salve Regina' Haydn. Soon he won the first prize at the Francesco Albanese competition with Alfredo's aria from the opera La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi.

The first decade of the 21st century brought the artist well—deserved success and performances all over the world - from his native Italy to South Korea and the USA. He played the main roles in the legendary operas Rigoletto, La Boheme, Madame Butterfly, Aida, Tosca and other masterpieces.

The Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra named after G. Garayev was founded in 1964 on the initiative of the classics of Azerbaijani music Gara Garayev and Fikret Amirov. The first chief conductor and artistic director of the orchestra was People's Artist of the Republic, laureate of State Prizes Nazim Rzayev. During its more than 40 years of activity, the band has participated in many famous stages of the world and prestigious international festivals. Over the years, the orchestra has visited Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, France, Turkey, Russia, etc. He adequately represented the musical art of Azerbaijan in the countries.

The orchestra's repertoire includes works by Western European, Russian and Azerbaijani composers. In 1995-1997, the orchestra was led by People's Artist of the Republic Yashar Imanov. In 1998-2018, People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Teymur Goychayev was the artistic director and chief conductor of the Chamber Orchestra. The orchestra has collaborated with many famous conductors: Salim Akcil (Turkey), Hakan Sensoy (Turkey), Simon Kamartin (Switzerland), Fabien Terikson (France), Vladimir Runchak (Ukraine), Riccardo Averbach (USA), Vladislav Bulakhov (Russia), Roland Frazister (Austria), Alexander Ivashkin (England) and others.

In 2007, he was awarded the National Humay Award for popularization of Azerbaijani classical music in the world. Since 2018, People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fakhraddin Kerimov has been the artistic director and chief conductor of the Gara Garayev Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra.
