Imamyar Hasanov — “Cultural Ambassador” Project-Concert: An Evening of Artistic Expression
On November 14, 2026, a special artistic evening featuring kamancha performer Imamyar Hasanov will take place at the enchanting International Mugham Center as part of the “Cultural Ambassador” project-concert.
Having lived in the United States for 26 years, the artist has presented Azerbaijani music on international stages. On this special evening, he will perform for Baku audiences in his distinctive “KamanYar” style. The “Cultural Ambassador” project-concert was born from the artist’s desire to share his international experience in his homeland, present Azerbaijan’s musical heritage in a fresh and distinctive way, and inspire a new generation to take an interest in national music.
Imamyar Hasanov has performed concerts and conducted masterclasses in countries around the world, and has also taught Azerbaijani music at Stanford University. In 2024, his album “Sounds of Azerbaijan” received two gold medals at the Global Music Awards in the “World Music” and “Duet” categories.
Accompanied by the glow of thousands of candles at the International Mugham Center, this artistic evening will invite you to discover the rich expressive possibilities of the kamancha.
