Evening of choral and symphonic music

The Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre presents a new musical program featuring its symphonic orchestra, choir ensemble, and leading soloists of the theatre.

The grand program includes masterpieces from both world and Azerbaijani classical opera, with a special selection of rarely performed works.

Performers include: People's Artist Akram Poladov, Honored Artists Aliahmad Ibrahimov, Tural Agasiyev, Ilham Nazarov, Farida Mammadova, Sabina Vahabzade, and soloists Adil Akhundov, Mahir Taghizadeh, Fehmin Ahmadli, Igor Yadrov, and others.

The concert will feature fragments from the following operas:
"Nabucco" (G. Verdi),
"Boris Godunov" (M. Mussorgsky),
"Katerina Izmaylova" (D. Shostakovich),
"Nargiz" (M. Magomayev),
"Motherland" (J. Hajiev – G. Garayev – J. Hajiev),
"Firuza" (Uz. Hajibeyli – I. Hajibeyov),
"The Fate of the Khananda" (J. Jahangirov).
