The Opera Studio of the Baku Music Academy presents the grandiose new production- Vincenzo Bellini’s “Norma” (opera-seria in 2 acts). During the last years, the Opera studio produced a series of interesting projects, such as “La passione dell’Opera”, “BakuOperArt”, “Kammerton” etc. This time the soloists, choir and the orchestra of the Opera studio are preparing the complete opera performance. Conductor- the artistic director of the Opera studio, People’s artist, professor Fakhraddin Kerimov Stage director- Elvin Mirzoyev Choirmaster- People’s artist Gulbaji Imanova Vocal coach- Julia Kerimova The hardest vocal parts will be performed by Honoured artists Farida Mamedova (Norma), Adyl Akhundov (Pollione), Sabina Asadova (Adalgisa), Anton Fershtandt (Oroveso). The students of the vocal department – Islama Abdullayeva (Clotilde) and Hidayat Aliyev (Flavio)- are also engaged. Bellini’s “Norma”, a veritable bel canto masterpiece, to be staged for the first time in Azerbaijan will be the great musical event in cultural life of the capital.
