With the support of the Executive Power of Shamakhi District and International Culinary Judge, President of the Barbecue Association Sahib-David Israfilov (Don David), the first International Barbecue Festival in Azerbaijan will be held on October 4–5 in the village of Meysari, Shamakhi city.

The festival will feature spectacular barbecue demonstrations by renowned chefs from around the world — including presidents of culinary associations from many countries, Michelin-starred chefs, the personal chef of the King of Saudi Arabia, former President of the World Association of Chefs’ Societies (WACS) Thomas Gugler, and the President of the World Barbecue Association (WBQA) Wim Vink.

The main goal of this international event is to showcase the hospitality, cuisine, and cultural values of Azerbaijan to the world, as well as to strengthen cultural exchange.

In specially designated zones representing North and Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Azerbaijan, professional chefs will demonstrate a wide variety of flavors and cooking techniques, sharing their culinary expertise. One of the highlights of the festival will be the exciting “Media Cup” 2025 competition among journalists and bloggers. Teams will compete for prizes, certificates, medals, and the main trophy provided by our partners. The top three teams will also earn the right to participate in the “Media Cup” 2026 next year.

Transportation for participants who have purchased bus tickets will be organized from the Heydar Aliyev Center. Buses will depart from the Heydar Aliyev Center parking area from10:00 to 12:00.
