Gobustan National Historical - Artistic Reserve

Gobustan National Historical-Artistic Reserve is a protected cultural site located около 60 km southwest of Baku. The reserve was officially established in 1966 to preserve its уникальные archaeological monuments and was later included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2007.

The area is famous for its ancient petroglyphs dating back up to 40,000 years, as well as archaeological remains and mud volcanoes. Today, it functions as an open-air museum and research site, attracting both tourists and scholars.
