The “XX./XXI.” concert project, held at the International Mugham Center in Baku, takes place under the patronage of H.E. Dr Thomas Schuller-Götzburg, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Azerbaijan. The project is supported by the Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, the Civil Service and Sport, the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, and the Austrian Performers’ Society.
The “QR-tett” String Quartet of the Vienna-based Orchesterwelt Association will present a concert programme dedicated to the music of the 20th and 21st centuries. Honoured Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Rena Rzayeva will perform as the piano soloist. The concert, taking place on 21 September at the International Mugham Center in Baku, will feature works by Josef Matthias Hauer, Egon Wellesz, Arnold Schoenberg, Anton Webern, Alban Berg, Regina Alfery, Ruzbeh Nafisi, Maxim Seluyanov, Sardar Farajov, and Rufat Khalilov.
The Vienna-based “QR-tett” String Quartet was founded by Elena Rozanova in 2020 and specialises in the performance of contemporary Austrian music. Since its establishment, the ensemble has performed numerous world premieres of works by Austrian composers. Its members are Elena Rozanova (violin), Kinga Vas (violin), Linus Koring (viola), and Namdar Majidi (cello).
