Candlelight Baku is Azerbaijan’s first candlelight concert project. 🕯️
Candlelight concerts, which transform historic venues in cities around the world—from London to Paris and from New York to Istanbul—into enchanting musical stages, have now arrived in Baku. 🌍
On 25 September, a special retro evening dedicated to National Music Day and the golden era of Azerbaijani music will take place at the Concert Hall of the Opera Studio at the Baku Music Academy.
The live performance by Retro Band, combined with the elegant atmosphere created by thousands of candles, will turn the evening into an unforgettable musical experience. The programme will feature beloved works of Azerbaijani popular and vocal music, presented in a retro style with fresh and emotional nuances. Familiar melodies will take you on a musical journey filled with nostalgia.
Retro Band is an ensemble of vocalists and instrumentalists specially formed by Candlelight Baku. Featuring piano, tar, kamancha and percussion instruments, the ensemble brings the retro repertoire back to life through live performance in the distinctive Candlelight atmosphere.
