The main conflict of the stage production is built around the contradiction between the protagonist Jourdain’s desire to present himself as a nobleman and his actual social background. Comic events unfold around Jourdain’s unattainable ambition, as he is ashamed of his origins and tries to appear as someone he is not.

In his pursuit of false prestige, he loses his common sense and is easily deceived by fraudsters from the “elite” society he longs to join. The performance sharply satirizes false aristocracy, meaningless obsession with fashion, and people’s tendency to deceive themselves merely for the sake of appearing prestigious and influential.
