The theatre “Be Silent and Dance” presents: the aesthetics of theatrical art and the expression of street dance in a new interpretation of A.P. Chekhov’s novella “Ward No. 6”.

A story about a soul oppressed, yet striving for freedom and light.

Bare shabby walls, creaking splintered floorboards, oppressive and unsettling darkness — this is how Ward No. 6 welcomes you. There, in the darkness, restless movements and rapid breathing can be heard...

Finally, a dim hospital light comes on, revealing before you, in all its painful detail, the world of the patients living in this ward. None of them speak; each has their own perception of the world and their own history of illness. They are considered insane — but is that really true?

You will witness how the arrival of the ward’s new inhabitant, Ivan Dmitrievich Gromov, affects the other patients — and their doctor, Andrey Yefimovich. You will discover what role the guard Nikita plays in all this madness, and by immersing yourself in the darkness of insanity, you may perhaps find your way back.
