“From Vienna to Baku” — A Musical Journey
Accompanied by the Pop-Symphony Orchestra, European jazz traditions meet the vibrant colors of Azerbaijani music on one stage. This special program, presented by composer and arranger Markus Geiselhart, combines contemporary orchestral jazz, improvisation, and elements of national music.
Alongside Geiselhart’s original compositions, the concert will feature Rafiq Babayev’s “Paraphrase,” Elbey Mammadzade’s “Karabakh Colors,” Rauf Hajiyev’s “My Azerbaijan,” as well as special arrangements inspired by the works of international composers.
Enriched by the harmonious blend of trumpet, saxophone, piano, percussion, and traditional Azerbaijani musical instruments, the evening offers a unique musical journey — from Azerbaijani national music to jazz, from Vienna to Baku.
