The fairytale performance “Tik-Tik Khanum” by Abdulla Shaig tells about the amusing adventures of the beloved children’s character Tik-Tik Khanum. This performance, which had long been part of the current repertoire of the Azerbaijan State Theatre for Young Spectators, is now presented to children in a new production and modern style.

Tired of loneliness, Tik-Tik Khanum looks for a friend and encounters many animals. However, she does not like the character of any of them. Finally, the Mouse promises to be loyal to her, and Tik-Tik Khanum agrees to live with it.

One day, noticing that the Mouse is late after going to the khan’s palace to bring food, Tik-Tik Khanum follows it and falls into a river. No matter how hard she tries, she cannot get out of the water and nearly drowns. Hearing about this from horsemen heading to a wedding, the Mouse rushes to save Tik-Tik Khanum. However, Tik-Tik Khanum becomes upset with it… What happens next?

The performance not only tells about friendship and kindness but also praises honesty. Therefore, despite various trials, the friendship between Tik-Tik Khanum and the Mouse prevails, and they reconcile.

The performance is accompanied by cheerful songs and engaging dances that capture children’s interest.
