It is an architectural monument of the 18th century. The brilliant Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli was born in this house. The house-museum was established in 1959. It operated until the occupation of Shusha by Armenian invaders on May 8, 1992. In the exposition of the museum, in addition to household items belonging to the Hajibayli family, Uzeyir Bey's personal items, pictures, books, and artworks dedicated to him and donated to the museum occupied an important place. In 1985, on the 100th anniversary of Uzeyir Hajibeyov was widely celebrated, and guests from many countries of the world visited the house-museum in Shusha for the centennial. On May 8, 1992, after the occupation of the city of Shusha by the Armenian aggressors, the museum ceased its activities. After the liberation of Shusha from occupation, restoration works are being carried out to rebuild the house-museum.

Admission to the museum is free of charge in the following cases (upon presentation of supporting documents):

1. Children under 6 years of age, orphans from orphanages, and students of boarding schools.
2. National Heroes of Azerbaijan, first-degree family members of martyrs (mother, father, spouse, and children), and war veterans.
3. May 18 — International Museum Day.
4. Retired citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan over 65 years of age.
5. Military personnel on active duty.
6. Employees of the Shusha City State Reserve Administration.
7. Persons with Group I and II disabilities.

Guide service (excursion) in the museums:  Excursion price up to 10 people- 5 AZN.

The ticket office is open from 10:00 to 17:00.
