"APOGEE"
Psychological drama
Premiere on stage.
A sharp one-act drama about the price of talent — about the moment when a person either finds their true music or loses themselves forever.
What is the play about?
Andrew Forts — a young virtuoso pianist, the idol of the public, the darling of the press. He plays flawlessly. But without a soul.
Kippl Forts — a legendary pianist who hears the false note in every sound and cannot stay silent.
The company Sweet Dreams promises to control dreams.
Kippl will stop at nothing to awaken the musician in his son. Even if it means shooting him — seven times.
Magsud Mammadov (director):
"On stage I play Kippl Forts, but this role has lived inside me and outside the theater for a long time. This is a story about how love can be harsher than hatred, if it’s born from the fear of losing yourself in your child. I’m a father myself, and it was important for me to live through this conflict not only in the text, but in the body. 'Apogee' is a provocation performance.
It asks everyone in the audience: are you playing your own life, or someone else’s score?"
"Apogee" isn’t about music. It’s about each of us.
About the moment when we play the role of "successful," "talented," "happy" — but feel empty inside.
About how easy it is to confuse applause with recognition, and fame with life.
