Annotation to the play "Crazy Meeting" by J. Mammadguluzade

Jalil Mammadguluzade's play "Crazy Assembly" has been staged many times since it was written. The structure of our famous artist Mehdi Mammadov and the performances of the actors in that legendary play are still remembered to this day. As we know, the work is a tragicomedy written in a style that can compete with examples of world literature. With the idea, content features, plot line, originality of events and characters, the play has symbolic character. At first glance, the work is a criticism of superstition and superstition, but in reality, the author uses deadly satire by comparing the newly established Soviet society to a madhouse. The author continues the conflict between the dead and the living, which he set in the work "The Dead", as the struggle between the mad and the smart in the work "Crazy Meeting". Crazy people are crazy people who are not accepted by society. In fact, the issue of who is crazy and who is smart in the work is also dark. Because society itself is not healthy, it calls common sense crazy and does not accept it.

The performance was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Mirza Jalil at the Academic National Drama Theater. By showing the Pilgrims in modern clothes, the director indicates that the theme resonates with today. The fact that the pilgrims are wearing the same clothes leads to the sameness of their actions. Madmen, unlike Pilgrims, prefer variety in their thoughts and actions. This leads to their difference. In the work, the character of Dr. Lal Byuz, imported from abroad, is a woman. In the play, which has an interesting approach and a director's interpretation, colorful performances by the actors bring pleasant moments to the audience.
