The solo psychological drama “I Believe” tells the story of the life of a
mother who has lost her son in war. Many years ago, a young female scientist,
while taking part in an archaeological expedition in a mountain village,
notices a solitary tree growing alone on a hillside. Sitting in the shade of
this tree, the young archaeologist learns that she will become a mother. From
this very moment, a spiritual bond is formed between the woman and the tree,
and she even begins to compare her unborn child to it. Due to the war, the
woman is forced to leave the archaeological excavation area. She raises her
son in the city. She always dreams of one day showing him the tree on the
mountain slope that remained under occupation. Years later, while liberating
that territory from occupation, the woman’s son is martyred without
recognizing the very tree his mother spoke of so often. Now, the woman has
only one refuge left in this world — the lonely tree on the hillside. That is
why, after our lands are liberated, the Mother comes to meet the solitary tree
on the slope to breathe in the scent of her son...
