Candlelight Baku – Original Candlelight concerts are coming to SUMGAYIT for the first time!

Candlelight Baku is Azerbaijan’s first candlelight concert series.
From London to Paris, from New York to Istanbul – millions of people around the world admire candlelight concerts held in historic venues, and now they have arrived in Baku! 

On May 17, a special retro evening dedicated to the golden era of Azerbaijani music will take place at the Sumgayit State Drama Theater. Performed by the Candlelight Retro Ensemble, this night—set in the elegant and magical atmosphere of candlelight—promises an unforgettable musical experience for the audience.

Within the program, the most valuable gems of Azerbaijani pop music and classical vocal tradition will be performed in new, refined, and emotional interpretations. Familiar melodies will be reborn in a retro spirit, taking you on a nostalgic, elegant, and deeply moving musical journey.

The Candlelight Retro Ensemble is a specially formed musical group by Candlelight Baku, consisting of three vocalists and instrumental performers. The ensemble includes instruments such as piano, percussion, tar, kamancha, and others. With its rich stage experience, stylistic balance, and live interpretative approach, the collective revives retro repertoire within the modern Candlelight atmosphere, turning each performance into an emotional and memorable musical experience under thousands of candles.
