About event

Javid Zeynalli about the play "Shukria".

A composition about Shukria, one of the women repressed in 1937. When we talk about women who were oppressed during the years of repression, several women come to mind, including Shukria. This is probably due to her love for Ahmad Javad, 8 years of terrible exile, separation from her children as a mother, and the famous actions she took to protect herself.

In this composition author tried to comprehensively describe the image of Shukria, using known facts.

As already mentioned, the composition is dedicated to Shukria, and she is one of the victims of the repressions of the Stalinist regime. There are hundreds of such women. To protect the zeal of her husband Akhmet Javad, Shukria takes off her clothes and wipes the floor of the toilet, hair, face and eyes so that they do not touch her. A person who is oppressed and abused tries to resist and defend himself in order to protect himself.

This act of Shukria, the protagonist of the composition, is her protest against some abnormal structure and a harsh regime that destroys people.

This is the author's conclusion about the life story he wrote, about the idea that he inspires.

We are sure that the audience will take with endless interest the play "Shukriya", which tells about the terrible life and expulsion of a woman.
