The performance is based on the fairy tale “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, collected and published by the Brothers Grimm.
The story begins in the middle of winter, when a childless queen sits by the window sewing. Time passes, and the queen gives birth to a beautiful daughter. However, the queen dies during childbirth. The king later marries another woman.
The stepmother becomes deeply jealous of Snow White, seeing her as a rival to her own beauty, and begins making plans to get rid of her. Her magic mirror repeatedly tells her that Snow White is more beautiful than she is, which fills the cruel queen with rage.
After facing many dangers, Snow White manages to escape and runs deep into the forest. There she finds the home of the seven dwarfs and stays with them.
Soon, the queen learns through her magic mirror that Snow White is still alive. Enraged, she makes three attempts to kill the girl and finally believes she has succeeded on the third attempt with the help of a poisoned apple.
However, justice triumphs once again. With the help of the prince, Snow White awakens, and they live happily ever after.
