“The Captain’s Daughter” is a dramatic stage adaptation of The Captain's Daughter. The performance transports the audience to the era of Yemelyan Pugachev’s uprising during the reign of Catherine the Great — a time when history and personal destiny collide with particular cruelty.

At the center of the story are young officer Pyotr Grinyov and Masha Mironova, the daughter of a fortress commandant. Their love emerges in a world where every decision may become the last, and human loyalty is tested not by words, but by choices made in moments of danger. Against the backdrop of historical upheaval unfolds a deeply personal drama — fragile, honest, and without the right to make mistakes.

Grinyov endures betrayal, hardship, and the threat of death, yet remains faithful to his moral principle: “guard your honor from a young age.” It is this loyalty that becomes the defining act of his life and ultimately shapes the meaning of the entire story.
