“The Captain’s Daughter”

Based on Alexander Pushkin’s novella, this production takes the audience to the времена of Yemelyan Pugachev’s rebellion during the reign of Catherine the Great — an era where history and personal судьбы collide with particular intensity.

At the center is the story of young officer Pyotr Grinev and Masha Mironova, the daughter of a fortress commandant. Their love emerges in a world where every decision may be the last, and loyalty is tested not by words, but by choices made in moments of danger. Against the backdrop of historical events, a fragile and sincere human drama unfolds — one that allows no room for mistakes.

Grinev faces trials, betrayal, and the threat of death, yet remains true to his moral principle — “honor must be preserved from youth.” It is this devotion that becomes his defining act, shaping not only his судьба, but the meaning of the entire story.
