“Three Beauties” is a touching and sincere performance based on the play Три красавицы about loneliness, hope, and the possibility of love later in life.

There is a kind of loneliness that cannot be healed by children, grandchildren, or even a full and busy life. Three women know this better than they would like to. But one evening, something begins to change — not only around them, but within them as well.

Valentin Krasnogorov wrote “Three Beauties” at the age of 78, and perhaps that is why the play feels so honest. There is no moralizing and no pity here — only real people, humorous situations, and unexpectedly poignant moments that strike directly at the heart. This is a story about love — the kind that may still lie ahead. And perhaps it is much closer than it seems.
