The Swallow is searching for the story’s author, the esteemed writer Andersen. Unable to find him, she tells the children, “I will tell you this fairy tale myself.”
In the magical story told by the Swallow, a kind Woman who dreams of becoming a mother visits a Wizard. The Wizard gives her a grain of wheat, which she plants in a flowerpot. Yet the heroine of our story has still not appeared.
Then the magical children’s tale begins to come to life on stage, and Thumbelina arrives to meet the young audience.
Filled with exciting adventures, the production follows Thumbelina as she faces many trials. Each time, her kind friends help her escape danger.
Thumbelina teaches children that finding their place in life requires a sincere heart and kind deeds. With these, happiness is sure to follow.
