"Khurshidbanu Natavan"

As it is known from the plot of the work, Khurshidbanu Natavan, granddaughter of Ibrahim Khan, daughter of Shusha Khan Mehdigulu Khan, gained fame not only as a poet, but also as a benevolent heir, not only in Shusha and Karabakh, but also in North and South Azerbaijan.

Khan's daughter, who loves her country and people with all her being, sacrifices even her personal happiness to the prejudice of the hand. The family he established with Prince Khasay Bey from Dagestan, the deputy of Tiflis, does not bring him happiness. In Shusha, they make fun of this izdivac. At the instigation of his uncle, Khasay Bey has to return to his homeland. Khasay Bey also has a desire to bring his people to the light of day in his heart. Khan and his daughter are actually united by the same action. However, the Sunni-Shia fatwa of the clerics breaks their love. No matter how much the Khan loves Khasai, he leaves her pleas unanswered and does not leave his country and people and go with her. Although Khan's daughter knows that she cannot forget her first love, Bey Khasay, she cannot change this love, which has become a lifelong wound in her heart, to her love for the motherland.

After Khasay's return to his homeland, Natavan marries Seyid Huseyn, who fled from the oppression of the Shah's rule in South Azerbaijan to break the barrier between the nobility and the common people. However, there are many people who frown on this idea.

In the play "Khurshidbanu Natavan", the division of the Azerbaijani people into two parts, sacrifices for the unity of this land, protection of our mother tongue, the importance of writing our works in our own language, and the love and loyalty of the Azerbaijani woman are presented as the main ideas.
