Soner Sarıkabadayı – a Turkish singer. He was born in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş and grew up in Mersin from the age of four. After initially studying economics at Yıldız Technical University in Istanbul, he transferred to classical guitar and graduated from its Faculty of Art and Design. His first album, “Kara”, was released in 2001. Sarıkabadayı also became known as a songwriter for other Turkish pop performers.
The 2009 single “Buz” became the defining turning point of his solo career. Released in 2010, “Pas” and “Sadem” established a style built around concise melodies, wordplay and lyrics about relationships. He later continued his career through songs including “İnsan Sevmez Mi?”, “Kutsal Toprak”, “Boza Boza” and “Tarifi Zor”. Sarıkabadayı also founded PDND Music and expanded his work into music production and publishing.
