The play “Naxış” explores the family culture of Azerbaijan.

The scene opens with a calm family home. A woman is weaving a carpet, and the rhythmic sound of the loom is heard. The father returns home with a wheat stalk — a symbol of abundance and labor. A kәlagayı hanging above the cradle reminds of the ancient symbol of a daughter.

Through the ritual of water, thread, and color, the carpet patterns “come to life,” evoking the magic of national traditions.

War disrupts this harmony, and the lights go out. Yet the horse motif on the carpet symbolizes hope and return. The father comes back, and the family is reunited. The play ends with the spirit of Azerbaijan’s unbreakable love and hope.
