The fairy-tale play “The Golden Chick”, staged by the Russian Department of the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theatre, captivates audiences with its engaging and meaningful storyline.

One day, a fox learns that an old couple’s hen is sitting on a golden egg. The cunning fox deceives the wolf and persuades him to join her, and together they steal the egg. Too lazy to take care of it herself, the fox once again tricks the wolf into sitting on the egg. Believing that a golden chick will hatch, they dream of multiplying it and becoming rich. However, when the time comes, a little rooster emerges instead of a golden chick. From this moment, quarrels and conflicts arise between the fox and the wolf.

At its core, the performance conveys values of mercy, care, and love. The play has been part of the theatre’s repertoire since February 27, 2016.
