The performance of the same name, based on the fairy tale “Goychak Fatma,” a beautiful example of Azerbaijani national folklore, instills in children such noble values as humanity and justice.
Fatma, who bravely endures the cruelty of her stepmother and stepsister, goes into the forest to find the wool carried away by the wind and meets an Old Woman. Serving the Old Woman as if she were her own child, Fatma does not feel disgust toward her and carries out every task wholeheartedly. Seeing the girl’s nobility, the Old Woman does everything in her power to help her attain happiness.
The kind-hearted Goychak Fatma marries a prince. Despite all the wrongdoing and unbearable suffering inflicted upon her by her stepmother and stepsister, Fatma forgives them.
National costumes, beautiful stage scenery, engaging dances, and remarkable acting captivate the audience.
