New Year Performance at the Academic Musical Theatre – “The Little Prince”

In celebration of the New Year, the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theatre will present the play “The Little Prince”, based on the world-famous masterpiece by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

The stage adaptation is written by author and publicist Ilgar Fahmi. The production is directed by People's Artist Jannat Salimova, with music composed by Ruslan Agababayev.

The production, which entered the theatre’s repertoire in 2019, returns to the stage of the Academic Musical Theatre after a long break.

This entertaining and adventure-filled New Year performance will also feature the beloved holiday characters Santa Claus and Snow Maiden. The restoration team includes: revival director — Sevinj Mammadova, revival choreographer — Muhammad Abdullayev, assistant director — Chimnaz Baghirova.

The storyline of “The Little Prince” is built around the protagonist’s travels across various planets. The play symbolically celebrates universal values such as friendship, love, sincerity, and the purity of the human spirit.
