“In the World of Fairy Tales”

The main character of the play, Cırtdan, misbehaves at home and tears out all the pages of a book of fairy tales. The characters from the book — Div, Küpəgirən qarı, Məlik Məmməd, and others — come to his house to punish him for this act and send him to an island in Africa. There, Cumbo asks Cırtdan three questions. If he answers them correctly, he returns home; if not, he must stay there. In the end, Cırtdan regrets his bad behavior, restores the torn pages of the book, and begins to read the fairy tales neatly and carefully. The main message of the play is to teach children not to be naughty, to treat friends kindly, and to love books and understand the importance of reading.
