Azerbaijan Museum of Independence

Azerbaijan Museum of Independence was founded in 1991 The main purpose of the founding of

the museum is to present consecutive stages of struggle for independence of Azerbaijan people,

covering the period from ancient times to present day, as well as the most important events in

their cultural and historical life. The exhibits devoted to State attributes of Azerbaijan Republic,

historical events of the 18th century, national-liberation movements in North and South

Azerbaijan in the late of 19th – early 20th centuries, the history of Azerbaijan during repression

and World War11, heroism of Azerbaijanis in the time of Karabakh conflict and Independence of

Azerbaijan Republic are demonstrated in the halls of museum.
