Baku Olympic Sports Complex

Baku Olympic Sports Complex is the first sports facility of this type in the country. Mr. Jacques Rogge, the current President of the International Olympic Committee, also attended the opening ceremony of the complex, which opened its doors to athletes on October 21, 2000 with the blessing of the National  leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. The complex mainly consists of 2 halls. The large hall with a capacity of 560 spectators is designed mainly for team sports. The second hall with a grandstand for 430 people has facilities for one-on-one sports. At present, the complex is developing rhythmic gymnastics and volleyball.
