Alessandro Safina

Alessandro Safina – an Italian tenor and classical crossover performer. He studied classical singing from an early age and entered the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in Florence at 17. After winning an international vocal competition in Mantua in 1989, he began a professional operatic career, appearing in productions including “La bohème” and “Eugene Onegin”. He later moved towards a style combining operatic technique with pop and film music. The album “Insieme a te” and its signature song “Luna” brought him international recognition. In 2001, his performance of “Your Song” with Ewan McGregor appeared on the soundtrack to “Moulin Rouge!”. His work combines operatic vocal technique with melodic pop arrangements and orchestral production.
