Alsou

Alsou – a Russian Tatar singer, television presenter and actress. She was born in Bugulma, Tatarstan, on 27 June 1983 and began her professional music career as a teenager. Her self-titled debut album was released in 1999 and achieved major success in Russia. In 2000, Alsou represented Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest with “Solo” and finished in second place. She is known for melodic songs combining pop, R&B and synth-pop.
