AWEN – a singer born in Paris to a French mother and a Malian-Senegalese father. She worked as a lawyer in Hong Kong before returning to France in 2016 to pursue music professionally. Her work combines Afro house production with soul vocals, West African musical heritage and spiritual themes. Recorded with Caiiro, “Your Voice” was released in 2020, while Adam Port’s 2022 remix achieved major Beatport success and introduced the track to a wider international house audience. AWEN later performed the song at Coachella. “Gold,” “Kusimama,” “In Your Eyes” and “The Veil” continued the vocal-led electronic direction of her catalogue.
