Etibar Asadli – an Azerbaijani pianist, composer and music producer. He studied at the Bulbul Secondary Specialised Music School and the composition faculty of the Baku Music Academy before continuing his education at the CMDL jazz school in France. Based in Paris, his work combines jazz, mugham, electronic sound and a microtonal approach. His album “Mugham” presents Azerbaijani musical heritage through jazz improvisation. He has performed both as a solo artist and with his trio on international stages, including the Jazz à Saint-Germain-des-Prés festival in Paris. “1924”, “Shur”, “The Black Eyebrow Liner”, “Mugham” and “Illegal mugham” represent different directions within his catalogue.
