Mabel Matiz – a Turkish singer, songwriter and composer whose real name is Fatih Karaca. He is regarded as one of the most distinctive and creatively ambitious figures in Turkey’s alternative pop scene. During the 2010s, he attracted a wide audience through albums marked by poetic lyrics, an unconventional visual style and a layered musical world. His work combines pop, alternative pop, indie pop and electronic music with elements of Anatolian folk tradition. “Öyle Kolaysa”, “Ya Bu İşler Ne”, “A Canım”, “Sarmaşık” and “Antidepresan”, recorded with Mert Demir, are among his best-known songs. His music often explores love, identity, inner freedom and personal emotion. He is one of the most conceptually distinctive performers in contemporary Turkish pop, both musically and visually.
