Zulfiyya Khanbabayeva

Zulfiyya Khanbabayeva – an Azerbaijani singer and stage performer. She was born in Baku on 16 October 1967 and studied theatre directing at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts. During the early stage of her career, she performed with the group Aypara before beginning her solo work. Her debut album, “Gecə”, was released in 2000. Khanbabayeva received the title of People’s Artist of Azerbaijan in 2008 and is regarded as one of the most recognisable figures in the country’s pop music scene.
