"Home Alone" starring Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister was released in 1990 and became the highest-grossing Christmas movie in U.S. history. With a budget of $18 million, the film about a boy forgotten at Christmas grossed almost $480 million. Everyone remembers this funny story: a large American family is going on vacation and forgets the youngest son Kevin at home. A small but very resourceful boy, left alone at home at Christmas, does not get lost, cooks, does his own laundry, goes to the store and confronts burglar thieves.

The touching soundtrack by one of the most successful film composers John Williams was nominated for an Oscar in the category "Best Film Music". Williams has also composed music for such famous films as "Jaws", "Superman", "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial", "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark", "Schindler's List", "Jurassic Park", "Star Wars", "Harry Potter" and many others.
