Are you ready for a special musical evening that opens the doors to the Miyazaki universe in the magic of thousands of candles? 🕯️✨

From London to Paris, from New York to Istanbul — the tradition of candlelight concerts held in historic buildings and unique venues, admired by millions around the world, has finally arrived in Baku! 🌎

On February 6, a special Candlelight Miyazaki Evening dedicated to the poetic world of animation and film music will take place at the Chamber and Organ Music Hall. Performed by the Candlelight Ensemble, the concert will be presented by candlelight, creating an atmosphere of elegance and intimacy. During this evening, unforgettable melodies composed by Joe Hisaishi for Hayao Miyazaki’s beloved films will be performed in a delicate and emotional interpretation, guiding the audience through a musical journey filled with dreams, nostalgia, and imagination.

The program features music from Hayao Miyazaki’s most iconic films: Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Howl’s Moving Castle, and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. Throughout the concert, selected scenes from these films will be screened alongside the music, allowing the audience to immerse themselves more deeply in the Miyazaki world through the harmony of sound and visuals.

Candlelight Ensemble is a specially formed group by Candlelight Baku, consisting of piano and an extended string ensemble (2 violins, viola, cello, and double bass). The ensemble includes laureates of international and national competitions as well as Honored Artists, representing the highest level of professionalism. Their refined sound and strong stage presence transform every performance, set against thousands of candles, into an unforgettable musical experience.
