Federico García Lorca
“The House of Bernarda Alba”
Premiere: April 25 - 26
A house where laughter is forbidden. A house where love is forbidden. A house where eight years of mourning must bury not only the past, but the future as well.
After her husband’s death, the domineering Bernarda Alba locks her five daughters inside and declares strict mourning. Beyond the high walls — the heat of the Spanish summer, life, and freedom. Inside — silence, restrictions, and a constant fear of “what people will say.”
But youth cannot stay silent. Desires cannot be commanded to disappear. And one day, something will ignite in this house that can no longer be stopped…
